Fluidion's ALERT technology redefined water safety monitoring at Paris 2024, delivering rapid, transparent, and precise bacterial water quality data. By providing real-time, independent water quality information as open data, Fluidion's approach demonstrated that technology and community science can provide state-of-the art monitoring solutions for global events. The rapid, transparent analysis of both planktonic and comprehensive E. coli counts enabled more accurate risk assessment and timely detection of pollution events, setting a new standard for independent environmental monitoring and influencing water governance policies.

The Swim the Wight and Wildheart Animal Sanctuary groups, with support from Fluidion and Southern Water, have conducted high-frequency water quality monitoring for over two years using ALERT LAB, ensuring safer open-water swimming and revealing gaps in traditional regulatory sampling. Their efforts, including advocacy in DEFRA consultations, have led to enhanced risk assessments, stakeholder engagement through data dashboards, and generated confidence in real-time monitoring technologies.

The e-CHEM analyzer provides valuable insights into water quality. It was customized for a customer requiring early warning of nitrification in remote tanks and online monitoring of key parameters such as: nitrite concentrations, total chlorine, pH, tank height, and ambient temperature.

Lake Chelan is a pristine lake in the mountains of WA state, but facing challenges and pressures from development and tourism. Using the ALERT System has allowed the Lake Chelan Research Institute and the Washington Sea Grant to assess the impact of installing boat sewage pump-out stations at the marinas, and demonstrate excellent water quality in the lake year-round.
