fluidion - News - Under the Arctic ice

January-June 2015

fluidion finalised its first deep-water prototype pH sensor for applications in the extreme Arctic conditions. The sensor will be used by scientists from the LOCEAN laboratory of UPMC to profile the ocean pH to 1200 meters of depth under the Arctic ice. These measurements will allow improved understanding of the phenomena involved in ocean acidification, an unfortunate and disastrous consequence of greenhouse gas emissions.
